What The Modern Women Do And Don’t Want In Men

If you’ve recently come back onto the dating scene you will have noticed that things have (once again) changed! Women have always been complex creatures, and just when you think you “get” them, they change altogether. Well don’t stress, we’re here to let you know how to get a handle on the modern woman wants and does not want in a man.

She wants

The modern woman is confident and ambitious. She has goals and dreams and she’s looking for some to share these with. She wants a man who has big ideas for his future and a plan to get there. She wants someone she can encourage and support and who in return spurs her forward in her own pursuits.

She doesn’t want

Buying Mother’s Day Flowers

Yes, Mothers Day is coming up on 8th May. And yes, I really shouldn’t forget this year. And yes, maybe I should even buy mum some flowers for Mother’s Day. And why haven’t I bought mum flowers in previous years? Well here’s a snippet of what you get when you search for “flowers” or “Mothers Day flowers” in Google.

…..flowers everywhere, flowers somewhere, flowers nowhere, flowers online, flowers offline, flowers fishing line, best flowers, worst flowers, average flowers, everything but flowers, everything and flowers, everything called flowers, a fish called Wanda…..

WHAT! HEADACHE! STOP!…Breathe…in…out…in…out. OK you get the gist.

There has got to be a better way to buy Mother’s Day flowers for mum this year….and HOORAY there is!

There is a website called Mothers Day Flowers at, funnily enough, www.MothersDayFlowers.com.au which takes all the hard work out of buying flowers online. As their slogan says “compare, select and save on flowers for Mother’s Day”. Much to my surprise they do make it simple and they only choose to work with flower retailers that are reputable, have secure encrypted payments, have real people that you can call and a satisfaction guarantee amongst other things.

Phew! I have found an easy and safe way to buy mum some flowers this Mother’s Day and mum will be delighted (more like shocked really!) to get flowers from me. All good here!

Flowers for Valentines Day

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner on Monday 14th February so don’t forget to send that special someone flowers. You can kid yourself that she doesn’t care about Valentine’s Day or that she doesn’t like receiving flowers on Valentine’s Day or that she thinks the whole occasion is too gimmicky. The cold hard truth is that what she says and what she wants may be two very different things when it comes to Valentine’s Day and flowers!

So don’t get in the bad books this Valentine’s Day and remember to send her some flowers to her work or home. Of course traditional Valentine’s Day flowers are the long stemmed red rose which is usually given as a single, dozen or two dozen arrangement. In recent years long stemmed red roses in a long presentation box has been the most popular Valentine’s Day gift.

For something a little different, mixed coloured roses are also a stylish alternative for a Valentine’s Day flowers gift. These bright roses are an ideal Valentine’s Day gift as an expression of affection when a relationship is new or as a sign of friendship.

As Valentine’s Day is a huge occasion for florists, we recommend you order early to avoid disappointment on the day. Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you from 1300 FLOWERS!

Online Flowers – Making Life Easier

Online flowers is taking the stress out of shopping and making life easier. Traffic jams, long queues, highly stressed people and florists with limited flower arrangements on offer are all a thing of the past with online flowers.

The good online flowers retailers these days offer a great range of different flower arrangements to choose from made from a broad range of flower types and arrangement styles. Also, these online flower retailers offer flower arrangements that suit different occasions and budgets.

In particular, online flowers can be a solution for a gift to mark a special occasion when you can’t physically be there in person. Most credible online flowers retailers offer delivery almost anywhere in Australia for a standard fee. However, sending online flowers to remote areas may incur an additional charge so please read the fine print in the delivery section to make sure that this charge is reasonable.

With interest rate rises, high rents, poor consumer confidence etc etc, life is too short having to waste time buying flowers at a physical store. So just fire up the computer, jump online, let your mouse do the walking and buy online flowers instead.

Online Flowers Bloom Within a Mature Florist Industry

Not surprisingly consumers are increasingly ordering online flowers versus going to traditional florist stores or flower stalls. As the penetration of broadband internet increases, more and more people are ordering online flowers as a means of saving time and effort. As a result, a small number of reputable businesses have set up offering online flowers. Amongst these reputable businesses is 1300 FLOWERS which has become a leading online flowers retailer over recent years.

The trend towards online flowers in Australia is certainly not a new one and we are not alone in the world. For example, the online flowers market is even more developed in the United States and the United Kingdom. In fact, a number of the overseas online flower retailers have branched out into other online gifts such as gift baskets (we call them hampers of course!), wine and lifestyle products. One development which has aided the growth of online flowers retailing has been the payment encryption technology which has made buying online flowers and other online gifts safe and secure.

A word of warning, however, as not all online flowers retailers are the same. Some online flowers retailers use many hundreds or even thousands of florists with whom they have a superficial relationship with resulting in questionable quality and delivery. On the other hand, some online flowers retailers like 1300 FLOWERS build deep relationships with a hand picked selection of high quality florists who ensure the flowers you purchase are fresh and delivered on time.
